Sydenham Camera Club welcomes all photographers

News

Digital tutorial
Tonight (6th Dec 07) Paul explained how to edit colours in Photoshop. He started with a graphic project: a map which needed areas coloured in. Paul went on to show the club how to select areas, and use layers to put different things in different places. The lesson continued with a couple of photos of different subjects where Paul used levels and the colour range tool to selectively adjust images. Unfortunately Paul was plagued with a few technical problems. Don't worry Paul we all get those days :O)

Seasonal prints and moving slides
Tonight we welcomed David Daggar to judge our in house competition on the subjects of seasons (prints) and movement (slides). David gave some excellent comments on the photos and was very helpful to pick out the strengths and weaknesses. We had a few crackers this month. The winners are as follows:

Prints 1st: Susanne Akerstrom, 2nd: Paul Carter (below), 3rd: Martin Barber, 4th. Roger Tibbles and fifth: Ken Hocking

Slides 1st: Susanne Akerstrom, 2nd: Ken Hocking, 3rd: Cyril Garnam, 4th: Susanne Akerstrom, 5th: Susanne Akerstrom
