Digital tutorial
Tonight (8th Nov 07) Paul gave us some tuition on how to use the clone and healing brushes in Adobe Photoshop CS2. He explained the difference between them and why one or the other is best used for differing images.

Using RAW
The subject of tonights meeting was using the RAW setting on your camera and how that affects your images. Paul was accompanied tonight by Ross to talk on this subject. Both Paul and Ross have been converted to the RAW format and they endeavoured to convince their audience that RAW was better than JPEG (with mixed results).

Paul began the talk by explaining what RAW is and why we should use it. Ross chipped in before he used one of his own photos as a guinea pig to show the club what can be achieved. Ross used a beach scene as an example and edited the foreground and background separately in order to create an image rich in colour and interest. Hopefully there will be another night where this subject can be touched on again as there was too much to cover in one sitting.
