Digital tutorial
Tonight (13th Dec 07) Paul showed us a variety of ways of converting colour images to black and white. He compared desaturating images to converting to grayscale and also to using the channel mixer dialogue box in Photoshop CS2. That may sound all very technical but it is actually quite simple. The difference however in the outcome was stark.

WCPF members exhibition
Tonight we had a very enjoyable time watching a digital slideshow of this years WCPF winners. There were a variety of categories, nature, digital, monochrome etc. Quite a diverse range of photos and i think it is fair to say the club was divided at times as to whether some of the winners were deserving of their prize. Ken Hocking had a few in there which were easily as good as many of the entries. I guess we better put some more in so we can kick the other club's provberbials! :O)
