Digital tutorial
Tonight (18th Oct 07) Paul went through a more basic tutorial of Photoshop. He covered how to take a photo from your camera, put it on your computer and edit it in photoshop. He then went on to explain how you can make selections enhance contrast and crop images. There were a few gems of information in there that even advanced users wouldn't know. Cheers Paul.

Ken Arnold
Tonight we welcomed ex SCC member Ken Arnold to come and talk about his photography. He had some really high quality examples with him and it was immediately obvious that he knew his stuff (obviously not a patch on ours of course - i jest). Ken had some very interesting and varied work of a high technical standard which i think inspired the club and provided much enjoyment.

The evening was finished off with a slideshow Ken had put together of some lovely photos he took in Spain. Apparently he takes more photos there than he does here! Well i guess Spain has more sunshine that we do, at least this past summer!!
Audio Visual comp
Sunday 21st Oct the WCPF held an AV competition in Tiverton. One of our younger members Ross submitted his entry entitled "Live" which was a short but uplifting slideshow encouraging people to get out into the world and enjoy it's wonders. It seemed to inspire a number of people in the audience as well as the judge (Roger Mallinson) as Ross was lucky enough to win the best individual entry. Ross said he was running out of clean cups in the house, so problem solved i guess!
