Tonight (15th May 08) Ross talked about saving time editing images by using "actions" in Photoshop. An action is basically a set of editing instructions that you can record and store using Photoshop. You can then use the action later to edit multiple images and save you a lot of time. This was demonstrated by Ross.

The Folio
This evening Don presented the results of The Folio. The Folio is a set of images (one submitted by each member) that is passed around the club for people to comment on. Unlike competitions this is simply an opportunity for people to submit an image and provoke comment. Reviewers of the images give a score out of ten and leave constructive criticism as well as praise for the work that has gone into creating the images.

Brian Bateman's photo of a young boy hurtling down a large slide was the favourite as he had managed to capture the whole of the boy and his happy expression within the frame whilst maintaining everything in sharp focus.

The objective of the folio is to encourage and instruct the participants. Some entrants picked up a few tips on the night as to how to correct some of the problems they had had with their entry. All in all an enjoyable night.
