Sydenham Camera Club welcomes all photographers

Digital tutorial
Tonight (20th Mar 08) Ross moved away from strictly digital tutorials and went back to some basics of photography; this evenings subject being composition. Also Ken handed out a questionnaire to try and find out from the club members what they would like from the digital sessions. We may be doing more subjects on basic photography techniques for a while instead of so much Photoshop work, it will all depend on what the majority of the members vote for using the questionnaire. Club auction
This evening's meeting involved an auction. We had a lot of fun selling off some of our camera gear as well as other items such as speakers and a computer printer. We had a proper auctioneer in to help us move things along. The speakers alone raised £50 and the total raised for the club was £140. It was well worth being there purely for entertainment value. I must admit I was tempted to buy the odd item.

A big thank you to all those who donated items to be auctioned for club funds and of course for all those who bought something.

Next week
Next week we have our internal competition judged by Maureen Dennis.
