Tonight (21st Feb 08) Paul talked about overlaying images on top of each another using layers in Photoshop. This is where things get really interesting and you can really let your creativity run riot. Paul explained how using layers, blend modes and a feathered brush/eraser you can seamlessly blend together a variety of images. In his example he used an American theme.

Clay Cross National Exhibition 2007
Tonight we had a real treat. The Clay Cross Exhibition is a stunning collection of photographic work from a great number of camera clubs across the country. The standard is very high and the creativity of the photos is very inspiring. One after another we watched each beautiful image of wildlife, people, abstracts, digitally enhanced images, surreal images etc. The only real shame is that this is the last year of the Clay Cross Exhibition after 25 years. However a similarly impressive exhibition will be on display next week: The 2007 London Salon Exhibition. I highly recommend you come along for that if you want to be inspired.

It was nice to see such a large turnout of people this evening. We had a number of new people and I'm sure that those people felt welcome as there was a lot of chatter in the interval.
