Sydenham vs Taunton Battle
Well what a great night we had as a club this evening (31Jan08). I personally found this probably the most enjoyable battle against another club; and I don't say that just because we won (hooray!). Sydenham has come on leaps and bounds of late and it is showing! However, what was most enjoyable this evening was seeing a good standard of work from both clubs. I take my hat off to some of the entries from Taunton, some of the prints were beautiful, not just photographically, but also in the quality of the printing.

I want to extend my gratitude to the judge Peter Clark DPAGB ARPS (in green with members from Taunton CC). It quickly became obvious that Peter knew what he was talking about and didn't mince his words with his critique either. The judging in my opinion was very good and very fair whilst also being constructive and to the point. So thank you very much Peter, you made the evening all the more useful and enjoyable.

The scores
Sydenham received 307 points for the prints (Taunton 298) and 310 for the slides (Taunton 284). Two of our entries received the top mark of 20. The final scores: Sydenham 617, Taunton 582.
